On a trip to Texas for a wedding we discovered this wonderful little place. Breakfast croissant egg sandwich was yummy and priced well. The blueberry oatmeal was sooo good. Pumpkin spice lattes were also great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this little gem.
If you find yourself in Denison, CJ’s Coffee House is definitely worth a visit. While I haven’t personally tried their coffee yet, I’ve heard great things about it from others. What I can vouch for are their croissant sandwiches—they’re my go-to right now, and they do not disappoint! Their cake pops are also a solid treat, and I recently picked up an espresso brownie to try later. The shop is conveniently located about a block from Fisher’s Funeral Home on Main Street. I believe there’s another location as well, though I’m not sure of the exact address. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with good food and a great local reputation, CJ’s is a place to check out!
Update: Still giving it all the stars because staff are really sweet here but I cannot get them to make an extra hot latte! Doesn't matter if I specify or not, it's always lukewarm. Frustrating! I really enjoy coming here after I drop kiddo off at school to catch up on my reading etc. Great tea latte choices! My only complaint is the super loud doorbell sound that goes off the ENTIRE time for the drive through, it's so off-putting and feels unnecessary and very much disrupts the ambiance inside or anyone's ability to focus or read etc. Staff are always welcoming and friendly!
I was here a few weeks ago, and wow - this is the absolute best coffee shop in existence. The latte was amazing, the avocado toast with balsamic glaze was the best I’ve ever had. And the bread they use is their own delicious homemade bread, lightly toasted so you aren’t biting into a brick like some other avocado toasts I’ve tried. Their breakfast cookies are amazing also and their service is excellent. To the owner: please expand to the Dallas suburbs. We need you over here too!
New to town from ATLANTA i got my hot tea (it's close to a lake / park) and I enjoyed my tea .. Very homey respectful and welcoming . Thanks so much for ur hospitality ..
We recently had the pleasure of dining for breakfast at CJ's coffee Cafe and it was a great experience. We were warmly greeted and the staff gave excellent recommendations. The iced caramel macchiatos were perfect, not overly sweet. We were impressed by the portion size of the broccoli cheddar soup. The atmosphere was cozy, friendly and comforting. We really enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back.
This CJ’s coffee shop is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home answering all your questions. The coffee is exceptional, and the pastries are divine. Had a wonderful first time experience.
Love love love this place!!! Drink local:) This place has wonderful drink selection as well as food items. My favorite is the B.L.T.A. the bread is homemade and it is served with a side of homemade applesauce. The chicken club is served on a large homemade roll and again one of my favorites. Don't forget the side of ranch though bc they have that GOOD ranch! They offer chicken pot pies along with meat & cheese boards. The baked banana nut oatmeal is a go-to for breakfast. Plus they offer protein shakes! My fav is the Honey Pro-add 2 extra shots of expresso! This has to be one of my favorite places to go since I visit one of their locations atleast twice a week. My kids enjoy a mocha frap with no expresso, kids hot chocolate, fruit cups, and cake pops!
